SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 9, 2003--Prominent recording artists Tony Bennett, Black Eyed Peas, Elvis Costello, Dido, Elton John, Diana Krall, k.d. lang, Dave Matthews, John Mayer and Rufus Wainwright are scheduled to perform in honor of GRAMMY(R)-winning superstar Sting at the 2004 MusiCares(R) Person Of The Year gala, it was announced today. Sting -- chosen for his accomplishments as a musician, humanitarian and environmental activist -- will receive the honor at a special tribute dinner, concert and silent auction held February 6, 2004, in Los Angeles. In addition, a slew of A-list artists and celebrities are scheduled to attend what is widely considered to be the most prestigious event held during GRAMMY Week, a celebration that culminates with the 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, Feb. 8 (broadcast on CBS at 8 p.m.).
